Vegan Anti-Inflammatory Golden Milk Latte Recipe
One of my fall favorites is this golden milk recipe. If you’ve never tried this latte before, you’ll love its creamy texture and vibrant spiced flavor. Turmeric, the main ingredient, is the perfect addition for soothing and has amazing anti-inflammatory properties.
Commonly used in Indian cuisines, this spice has been used as a medicine for centuries to treat wounds, infections, colds, and even liver disease. Turmeric has both antibacterial and antiviral properties, making it the perfect cold & flu fighter.
A standard golden milk latte can be made solely with turmeric and a milk of your choice, but it's even better when combined with other healthy spices like cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
Best drank before bed, this soothing latte aids in improving memory and even can lower the risk of heart disease. A glass of warm turmeric milk at night can promote a healthy sleep cycle and can give you all the warm & fuzzy fall feels!
The Recipe:
1 cup Coconut milk
½ cup Almond Milk
¼ tsp Turmeric
1 Pinch Cinnamon
½ tsp Ginger
One crack of black pepper
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon coconut oil
The Method:
In a small saucepan on medium heat, combine the coconut oil, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and pepper.
Whisk in the coconut milk, almond milk, & syrup.
Heat over medium heat for 5 minutes, until lightly simmering, not boiling.
Pour into your mug and enjoy!
If you have a handheld milk frother, now is the perfect time to froth it up before drink
