Spice Up Your Matcha Recipe
Mad for Matcha? Try getting a little more creative with it than your classic Matcha Latte. Today I will be showing you how to add a little something something [strawberries & blueberries] to sweeten up your matcha rotation. 😉
1. Grab your ingredients
For these 2 matcha recipes you will need only a few items! Be sure to grab your matcha, fresh or frozen strawberries & blueberries, your favorite plant-based milk, a whisk, a glass and a strainer.
2. Time to Muddle!
To add some pizazz, we are going to make blueberry and strawberry milk to combine with our matcha! To do this, muddle your blueberries and strawberries in separate glasses of milk. You can do this by mushing them up at the bottom of the glass.
3. Let’s Strain
Once your fruit is fully muddled, grab your strainer and get rid of the leftover skin and pulp from the fruit. You should be left with fruit infused milk ready to go into your matcha! (PS. Don’t throw out the leftover pulp! I’m saving mine to turn into a jam :) )
4. It’s Matcha Time!
Time for the last step: the Matcha! You want to pour your hot water over the matcha in a glass and whisk until frothing and smooth. Once combined, feel free to add ice to chill your latte or just go ahead and pour the matcha mixture over your blueberry or strawberry flavored milk. Just one final stir and you’re ready to enjoy!
